# Students' Admission Process
- Enquiry & Registration:
- Parents/guardians submit a registration form online or at the school office.
- Receive a registration acknowledgment and further instructions.
- Submission of Documents:
- Provide essential documents:
- Birth Certificate of the child
- Previous school records (when asked)
- Proof of address
- 4 Passport-size photographs
- Provide essential documents:
- Interaction / Assessment:
- For new students, the school may conduct a brief interaction or assessment to understand the child’s readiness and learning level.
- Parents may be/are invited for a Counselling Session with teachers.
- Confirmation & Fee Payment:
- Once the child is selected, parents are notified.
- Submit admission fees to confirm the seat.
- Orientation / Induction:
- Attend a brief orientation session to understand school policies, curriculum, and schedule.
- Child begins classes as per the academic calendar.
# Student Eligibility Criteria
Modern Eden School ensures a perfect blend of academic foundation, character building, and holistic development. Admission is open for children from age 3 (Nursery) to Class VIII. Our eligibility criteria balance government norms with best practices to ensure every child thrives.
1. Pre-Primary / Nursery (Age 3 – 4 years)
- Must have attained the age of 3 years by 31st March of the admission year.
- Basic social and motor skills recommended (ability to interact with peers).
- Immunization record as per government health norms.
Additional Norms (School Recommended):
- Child should be potty-trained or able to manage basic self-care.
- Parents encouraged to attend orientation session before admissio
2. Lower Kindergarten (LKG) (Age 4 – 5 years)
- Must have attained the age of 4 years by 31st March of the admission year.
- Exposure to basic pre-literacy skills (letters, numbers) is beneficial.
Additional Norms:
- School may assess readiness for structured learning through interaction or play-based activity.
3. Upper Kindergarten (UKG) (Age 5 – 6 years)
- Must have attained the age of 5 years by 31st March.
- Basic familiarity with English alphabet, numbers 1–10, and social skills recommended.
Additional Norms:
- Child should demonstrate ability to follow simple instructions.
- Encourage development of independence and teamwork skills.
4. Class I to Class V (Age 6 – 10 years)
- Must have completed the previous class successfully.
- Age as per government guidelines:
- Class I → 6 years
- Class II → 7 years
- Class III → 8 years
- Class IV → 9 years
- Class V → 10 years
Additional Norms:
- School may conduct readiness assessment for students transferring from other curricula.
- Preference for children with basic reading and numeracy skills.
5. Class VI to Class VIII (Age 11 – 13 years)
- Must have passed the previous class.
- Age norms:
- Class VI → 11 years
- Class VII → 12 years
- Class VIII → 13 years
Additional Norms:
- School may conduct academic assessment for new students from other schools to place them appropriately.
- Emphasis on co-curricular participation to ensure holistic development.
General Admission Norms Across All Classes
- Submission of birth certificate, previous school records, immunization records, and passport-size photographs.
- Parents/guardians must sign a commitment to school policies regarding discipline, attendance, and academic support.

# Documents Required for Admissions
A. Essential Documents (Mandatory for All Admissions)
- Birth Certificate – Issued by municipal/civil authorities
- Proof of Age – Usually included in Birth Certificate
- Previous School Records / Transfer Certificate (for classes I and above)
- Passport-size recent Photographs – 4 copies of the child
- AADHAAR Card
- Blood Group
These documents are mandatory to process and confirm admission.
B. Additional Documents (Recommended / As per National Admission Norms)
- Aadhar Card of the Child (if available)
- Parent/Guardian Identity Proof – e.g., Passport, Aadhaar, Voter ID, or Driving License
- Address Proof – Ration card, Electricity Bill, or Rent Agreement
- Caste / Category Certificate – SC/ST/OBC/Other (if applicable, for government norms or scholarship purposes)
- Medical Certificate – Indicating general health condition (for Pre-Primary or special needs children)
- Transfer Certificate / School Leaving Certificate – From the previous school (mandatory for Class I and above)
- Any Other Relevant Certificates – e.g., sports achievements, special skills, or awards (optional but encouraged)
